The Holiday Porter is a dark brown color with hint soft ruby when held up to the light. Five varieties of malted barley are used in this brew, along with Goldings hops from the UK.
The hops give an earthy balance to the strong roasted caramel and toasted nut flavors. Alabaster Simpson declares, "Solid and forward, without the wateryness that sometimes comes with this style."
