The Extra Special Bitter was not served on a hand pump, but it really didn’t matter to me. The beer had a light hoppy floral aroma and a slight diacetyl (buttery) taste, in my opinion what an ESB should be like.
It always confused me why the name "Extra Special Bitter" when this style is usually not that bitter – by no means as bitter as an IPA.
