Squatters Ava Lee Tripel is named for the small daughter of one of the pub's managers. It pours a hazy pale yellow with a small one finger white head. This head quickly disappears and doesn't leave a whole lot of lacing.
The aroma is somewhat grassy with notes of malt and Belgian yeast. Lots of fruit here: pears and apples mostly. There is also some alcohol present.
Taste is basically the same as the nose, if not a tiny bit stronger. Belgian yeast is very present and there is a crisp apple/pear one-two punch that comes in and combines nicely with the malts. There might be a slight hop kick in the back end to finish this off with a dry, somewhat bitter taste. There is also some notable alcohol to add to the spiciness of it all.
