Squatters Orphan Abbey is deep red in color. This Belgian style ale has a lovely caramel malt background and a soft fruity finish.

The authentic Belgian yeast used in fermentation provides this complex ale with its clove and banana characteristics.

This beer pours a clear dark brown with a nice little head which disappears quickly. There is some lacing around the edges. Aromas of malt, yeast, spice and banana. The taste is slightly sweet, malty and spicy.

Pretty good considering that it is 4.0% ABV.
