Finally, the body that was sorely missing from Le P'tit Train is found here. What initially struck me was the beer's consistency, delivering a thicker drink than most other reds.
The fine bitter-sweetness went down the throat very smoothly. Its creaminess was something of a surprise, but really hit the spot in the right way. If La Riviere Rouge were as common a find in bars as Boreale Rousse, I would certainly trade up with no hesitation.
