The Elephant and Castle in Edmonton is still the only pub as far as I know that serves Steam Whistle pilsner. Also the staff is personable: they know me by by name, even though I tend to forget theirs.

During hockey season they are totally into it, with player names for drawing when scoring and a whole lotta things. The food is very generous with a large selection of ales, lagers and whiskeys and other beverages.

The decor is very traditional and very warm. Ironically, albeit there is the british pub theme, they don't have a portrait of our Queen, nor do they have an ensign.

But nevertheless Greg, Darlene and the wonderful charming staff make it a great spot for a buddy buddy pint or a nice evening with yer gal.
