Jax Beer Cookie Canister
There is no way really of putting a value to any Jax Beer item. There's no book that I'm aware of listing potential values but I wiil say that the two I sold went upwards of $15.00. I think I saw one on Ebay within the last few weeks that did sell but I can't honestly tell you what it sold for.
The fact is, an item is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it, it's that simple. In an auction situation, if there is more than one interested buyer for a particular item, then it can be a war of who will be the highest bidder and for the seller that's great news.
I am attaching a picture of a Jax Beer item that's rare. It's a cookie jar of the brewery. The uniqueness of this item is that it was given away to dignataries attending the opening of The Jax Brewery shopping center. This of course, was after the brewery closed its doors in 1974.
Enjoy, this item is my favorite of all the Jax items I have in my collection. FYI, my father was a district manager in Texas for Jax for over 25 years until the brewery closed. And just a little bit more info on the two handled mug, the advertising campaign surrounding the two handles was "The Taste You Can Hold On To".
