In January, I drove from New Hampshire to Oregon. It was quite a journey, and I tried many a beer along the way with my beautiful wife Kelly.

I live, now, in the way cool town of Corvallis, in Western Oregon's Willamette Valley. I'm happy to report that if you like beer, this is a place to visit.

My first beer to report is Thunderhead IPA, brewed by Pyramid Breweries in Portland Oregon. The company boasts on the bottle label that this ale "is a powerful ale for bold tastes."

My wife and I each tried a bottle of this beer this afternoon. I asked her, "What do you think of this beer?" She replied "The bitterness explodes on your tongue."

I would further state that this beer has so much flavor that it can be sipped by itself, with no nachos or beer nuts. For me, it's a great beer to enjoy after a great show with my new band The Quiet Side!

So far, this is one of my favorite beers to report since I have moved to the beautiful state of Oregon. I miss New Hampshire, but beer like this makes me love living in Oregon.
