Every once in a while, I get a beer that really takes me back. A beer that is so impressive, you could ask the question "Where have you been my whole life?"

Tommyknocker Brewery in Idaho Springs, Colorado has done just that with their Maple Nut Brown, an American Brown Ale brewed with maple syrup and chocolate malts.

This beer has an rich and creamy flavor that is almost dessert like. It pours a deep and rich maple brown laced with a thin and creamy head. The chocolate malts and maple syrup give off a deep aroma with a delicious bouquet that fills the senses.

The first taste hits with a bright burst of maple that is quickly overpowered by chocolate malt and followed by a hint of nut flavor. It creates for an interesting and wonderful flavor succession and delivers a smooth and rich taste. With every drink, this beer gets better and better.

Overall this is a very delicious beer. It carries a wonderful taste that stays consistent from start to finish. This is proof that with the clean water from Colorado, blended with excellent and inventive brewing; amazing beer is created.

Tommyknocker Brewery delivers consistency with great taste and brews a beer lover's beer. This Maple Nut Brown is easily one of the best I have had. The blend of flavors and the robust taste make this beer very drinkable and satisfying.
