As I had previously mentioned, I am on a kick of drinking Belgians lately, and thanks to Lee's Discount Liquor, I found the best I have ever had. And ironically it's from Canada!
Only brewed in 2007, "celebrating our 16th anniversary" according to the bottle, I had the privilege of consuming this beautifully aged beer just recently and was not even close to disappointed. Continues below
There's a myriad of fruit flavors apparent, (citrus, stone and even tropical) as well as different spice profiles, (cinnamon, coriander, nutmeg, pepper) to name a few. As the flavors linger on the palate, the spiciness of the beer is completely evident and the bitterness of the hops combine to show the true complexity of a fine Belgian-style beer.
This is a magnificent beer and the strong flavors and aromas are a feast for the mouth and nose. Very appealing, refreshing and an excellent beer.
