Part of the Scooby Doo 2 movie was filmed at the XXXX Gold brewery in Brisbane. You can take a tour of the brewery and they let you drink as much beer as you can after the tour. I guess they don't want you drunk during the tour, lest you fall into a vat of beer!

That's just a few interesting bits of XXXX Gold beer history. On every beer stubby opened, you also get a trivia question, which are great conversational ice breakers (in case you need any!). However, I have figured out that the answer to any one of them is usually narrowed down to either "Shane Warne" or "11".

I know I haven't mentioned much about the taste of XXXX Gold. A particularly appealing golden amber, best drunk icy, icy cold. It's so smooth, with absolutey no bite or aftertaste, so it doesn't usually last long.

The BEST bit about XXXX Gold: is it is usually drunk in the company of mates. And that's where the stories begin to flow... over beers... anything can happen!

What's wrong with XXXX Gold now?

XXXX gold is the number 1 beer sold at our pub, i drink it the publican drinks it and i'd say two out of every three customers drink it. But recently in the past week something has gone wrong.It keeps going flat it won't cling to the glass or hold a head. The boss has done the lines twice in three days and washed the glasses twice in four and has changed kegs i've lost count in spite of the fact that all the other beers are fine. Been getting many complaints and one customer took it upon himself to rip it up me like i was doing it to him and only him on purpose. You know what pubs are like if one's not happy it gets around and before you know it you have a whole bar full of winging wining complainers. We had a very quiet Saturday night so we shut up early and went to the club where there was a function on and guess what the XXXX gold was exactly the same. I would like to know if there have been any other complaints if possibly this is just the way this batch has been brewed (and i'm not having a go, sometimes these things just happen) but i think if the little people just keep quiet there's no way for you's to know. And please if you know of anything that we can try on our end let me no When your in a town this size and people say the beer is up to SHIT you've got problems. This beer is awsome...How can I get this beer or where can I find it in the U.S.? Stop exorting Fosters (not good)...and export XXXX Gold beer to the US!!!

Really Jane are you seriously selling this drizzle as a proper review of XXXX gold.
Where is the mention of the less than palid appearance that resembles a Shandy without the sweetness. Or the bloated feeling drinkers complain of after 4 beers?
